When setting up your balloonrace.com account you will be required to:

PAYPAL - supply a Paypal account for receiving your funds. This could be a bespoke Paypal account for your organisation - or you could use an existing Paypal account. For help setting up a Paypal account visit - http://www.paypal.co.uk/uk. This also allows you to choose your preferred currency.

FUND - Make people aware of your special cause with a dedicated page of information and photo's.

START DATE: you'll need to enter a start date (and time) for your balloon race. Your home page will have a count down to the start of the race. Your internet balloon race will last a maximum of 3 weeks from the start time.

FINISH DATE: you'll need to enter a finish date and time, once your race starts your home page will show a countdown or time remaining to the end of the race. balloonrace.com can automatically set the finish date if required (maximum 3 weeks).

NUMBER OF BALLOONS: You can start from as little as 100 balloons - at any time you can purchase more balloons and increase your profit. Be aware that news travels fast on the internet and your balloons may sell out very quickly so you'll need to keep monitoring the balloons you have available to sell. balloonrace.com will automatically alert you via email when your available balloons become low.

SET THE VALUE OF EACH BALLOON: You can set the selling price of your balloons. Traditionally balloons have been sold for £1 each but with an internet balloon race we recommend you sell balloons from £2 upwards. Remember you can earn extra funds from each balloon if donators get competitive and boost their balloons.

ENTER PRIZE: You can enter the prize for the balloon that travels the furthest - remember the better the prize the more you can charge for each balloon. You may be able to get a prize donated from a sponsor or you can offer a cash prize funded from the funds you collect.
